Bob,

OK, I have returned from the wilderness of no internet and mobile
phones, where I had a chance to test the new power fail recovery on an
XT and original AMAYA

With machine on and OS operating, I disconnected the power to both the
PC and machine, the repowered.

When the machine was powered up again, the needle which was being used
and was still down, raised then the machine performed a trim, and found
needle 1 before returning to sewing needle.

Opened OS, and the software connected to the machine and reloaded
design.

Pressed start button, and the machine continued to sew from where it had
stopped, with the stitch number in the OS software being recovered, and
design continued without fault.

Power fail recovery was great.

Cheers

David

You obviously know the Amaya much better than I do but when I was
considering the Amaya, I did ask a dealer rep what the procedure was to
restart stitching after a power outage stop and I too was under the
impression that once power was restored, it was simply a matter of
telling the Amaya to "start stitching" and the machine would carry on
from where it stopped ..... similar to what most other new machine
manufacturers / models offer [except with the Amaya, it is done through
the software rather hitting a button on the machine].

Did I misunderstand the dealer or is there perhaps some other "quick"
restart stitching procedure ?

Thanks

Bob
