Ed, Thanks for the information. I think I am pretty good with my knowledge of fabrics, digitizing and keep learning everyday from my fellow embroiders. I don't sew anything out without an underlay including the <.25" letters. I don't have actifeed since my machine is pretty old (2004) and I am pretty comfortable with sewing flats. I try not to take on a project doing caps. From what I am looking at regarding the PING Embroidery done the shirts that I just received, I figure that it is a ladder type of embroidery. Edgewalk, column , edgewalk and wider column to give that look. Anybody try that combination? Still Waiting for the Chinese Fried Rice Recipie................. Veena, I'm going out on a limb but I think what you're looking for is an ancient Chinese secret. And since I love Chinese fried rice, I will share it with you... "Make underlay (and density) your new best friend". It also helps to take a fabric class to understand the make up of fabric/material very well. Thread tensioning (and bobbin) is also a big one too. This is where the Auto Acti-feed is a great feature. There you go. Didn't think it'd be that simple, did ya. Actually it's not. I'm sure there's plenty of paid experience behind that one PING logo. But if you were going to sew out thousands of the exact same design, you would work with it until it impressed everyone else too. I also agree with some of what Roland and John said. All you need to know is that your machine IS capable of producing great designs. If you went out and purchased a race car, would you be disappointed that you couldn't win the Indy 500? Would you blame it on the car? Grandma used to say, "All good things in time". Best of luck to you and never stop asking questions. Hello All, I just got a few ping shirts with their embroidery on the sleeve and was looking closely at it and wondering why my embroidery does not turn out like that on my amaya? Does your embroidery turn out like that? What settings do you use with regards to the following? Speed, thread weight, brand of thread, density setting, any other factors? Do any of you know what brand of thread they use? Thread weight? Density? Machine? etc., Iris Embroidery 510-226-6171 www.irisembroidery.com Embroidery, Screen-printing or Promotions!! =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list =========================================================== =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list =========================================================== =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list =========================================================== =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list =========================================================== =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list ===========================================================
