[amayausers] Re: PING embroidery?

Veena....no matter what we do, chances of matching 'high volume'
embroidery jobs like Ping shirts, brand name hats, etc.
A lot of that is done overseas, and as in the case of hats, they are
done as 'panel' program hats...the face of the hat (and probably the
sleeves of shirts, etc.) are all done as flat material before the
shirt or hat is assembled. Less chance of screwing up a whole garment
to add the Ping (or Nike, Champion, whatever).
And, there are other machines that will embroider with smaller
needles, finer thread...so don't worry about trying to do that good
or that low price....without huge quantities or the 'panel' program
you cannot always match up.
Hats especially....sewing on the flat panels will always get greater
detail and better sewout compared to sewing the assembled hat. At
least we can DO it! Some machines cannot handle curved hats.
I refuse to use any PING garments...or Nike, etc.-anything that has a
BRAND name all over it-because the customer is actually paying MORE
for that garment to get that name on it...but the garment isn't
anything different than another unbranded garment once you start
comparing quality.....
I hate to see them getting soaked and paying to advertise a brand!
