Hi Russel,

I would use Fray Check. Do not use superglue. I have heard the superglue 
leaves hard clumps. The fray check is made of materials that mix with the 
thread in a way that it stays pliable but glues the threads together.

Jeff,

    Do you think I should add a drop of superglue or fraycheck to the back
of the letters were the exit points are so they don't unravel, the letters
are Garamond 1" tall and don't have the tie out stitches they do have
underlay so I am not worried about the tie ins.
