Thank you!  Once I looked up what the needle clamp was and found I could back 
that screw all the way out and it would slide right off, everything came 
together just as you said it would! Also note that when the needle clamp did 
slide off, it made turning the shaft so much easier because the front grabbers 
were no longer impeding the turning of the shaft. Magic!
