You have two optical sensors behind the needle case.
As you are looking at the needle case one is located behind the right side of 
the case about half way up from the bottom. It's purpose is to see the  flag 
that protrudes from the black cover behind the needle case. If it doesn't see 
the flag the machine will continue to move to the right until it finds it.

Once you find the optical sensor, try blowing any lint or dust off of it.
Also check to see that the sensor is not rubbing on the flag which is part of 
the black cover directly behind the needle case. The flag should be centered 
inside of the sensor but not touching it.

Go into your maintenance menu and the go to Steppers and select "Home"under 
color change.

The needle case should go to needle #9.

If the needle case goes all the way over past #1 again you may have to put in 
for a service call
