Anand, We have had our XT machine since November. It hasn't run for the past 6 weeks because of quality & reliability problems. The hook has failed after just 3 million stitches and we now can't get a replacement or a tech to replace for us. Even after 6 or 8 calls to Melco USA there is no joy, my biggest headache now is paying back the 30 thousand dollars spent to purchase machine & software. Right now I'm looking at the Barudan machine in the hope that I can resurrect my business. If you know anyone who wants to purchase a little used XT machine I'd love to hear from them Glenn -----Original Message----- From: amayausers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:amayausers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Kesavan Sent: Thursday, 6 April 2006 2:14 PM To: amayausers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [amayausers] Re: CAPS Glen I have been in embroidery for may years. I run a 4 head Tajima and 4 Head happy and Wilcom ES65. I flew down to Melbourne and was shown how to setup Self install is 2K cheaper. It took me 2 hours to thread put the stand together and thread the machine up. I talked to the tech on the phone because I couldnt start the software. I did not buy design shop but I used the select all button in the software install thats why the thing wouldnt install. I havent gone through the tutorial CDs yet I forgot to take them home. I all else fails check th manual. I also had to call the tech because before I started the machine the needle presser foot and the needle hole were not aligned and he talked me through that Apart from this everyting is going all right. I dont have time to paly with it at the moment its a steep learning curve but I will soon get there. I wouldnt reccomend someone new to the business to try a self install. Tell us about yourself Anand Toowoomba Queensland Anand, The target button & arrow keys on machine keypad are used to align garment. Just curious, but when you received your new XT didn't the tech come to install? Also what part of Australia are you in Glenn Global Embroidery Watsonia, Victoria
