  I think there is no "one s ize fits all"
  answer on this one,
  We run at 850 mostly for hats
  and I hear people that change nothing and run hats at 1200
  I think the real answer is to run as fast
  as your acceptable level of quality is achieved.
  Only you can answer that question.
  If 800 gives you acceptable results and 900 doesn't
  then you need to figure out how to fix the bugs for
  higher speed work or just run at the slower good speed.

    I have a question. I have always slowed my machine down to do caps.
    If I run the same design for flats and caps I generally reduce the speed by 
200.
    Am I being too conservative? It should would be nice to run these caps 
faster. I'm at 800 right now.
