LuAnn,
Hottronix is a good brand, been around a long time. Geo Knight Co. (out of
Massachusetts) has a good reputation, builds them right there, and good
service and technical advice.
Mighty Press is one I bought-they are the actual manufacturers for the
'Stahls' presses and sell under their own Mighty Press name.
There is a big difference between the types of presses-there are
'lightweight' presses for short runs and limited use-and the 'heavyweight'
type for continual use. Knowing how we started with tee shirt decaling and
then moved into the computer cut vinyl end-we have an old super heavyweight
machine-not even made anymore-but not unusual to have it on for 8 hours at a
stretch.
