I'm hoping that the pertinent information is still there in an understandable form. That is a serious problem here. I was asked to comment on a dog issue by The Decatur Daily, & I was so badly misquoted that it led to me being called a liar by none other than Mindy Gilbert, who was head of Decatur Animal Services at the time! I hope B'ham does a better job for you. I took the time on Monday to sit down and write an opposing viewpoint for the ACC. I just found out that it will run in the Editorial Section of this Sunday's News under the column "My View". It was cut a little (unfortunately the paragraph that contained the links to several other organizations that do not support MSN), but at least it is being run. I'm hoping that the pertinent information is still there in an understandable form. Opportunities like these are one of the best ways each of us has to share our viewpoints and educate people on the issues that matter to us as dog owners and breeders. Please, if you see something in your local paper or on TV that is non-factual and misleading regarding animal issues, take the time to write a rebuttal. It doesn't have to be long. But the public needs to know that there is more than one opinion out there and the one they are hearing may not be the most correct.
