Hi Graham,

This may be a bit of a ruse, but ask them what they can
offer for the deaf and blind user of their machines.

Explain that an electronic file can be read by a deaf blind
person on a specially adapted computer with a braille
display.

If they would be so kind as to provide such a file which
could be viewed on a web page, for example, it would also
allow you to have it produced in braille.

If they could give you that, producing braille would then
just be a case of finding a braille producer. RNIB
Tarporley's transcription guys should then be able to
produce braille quicker than transcribing an audio tape.

George.

Hi Graham,

Thank you for the link, I will have a look at it. However,
as I said in
another message, Carol actually wants a Braille version so
that she can read
the manual while operating the machine.
