From some previous experience I recall regards pricing and component costs putting in a processor that cost £5 extra would translate easily into a retail price before VAT of about £100 rather than the £85 it costs from RNIB now. For some such a rise would be worth paying, for others it might be prohibitive, in retail generally going for the lower price (especially below £100 for consumer electronics) is always the preferred deal. If you're not happy with it send it back. The RNIB will argue the build quality Vs cost. Bottom-line you only get what you pay for. We're always complaining about the cost of Adaptive Technology. The Goodmans is OK in-terms of features but this is what we get when we pay a lower price. Anyone tried one of those £600 units I remember hearing something about, about a year back.
