I've read all the mails on this site.  The most pertinent message said that 
it was not mentioned on lists such as this one nor other forums, so it seems 
to be a small population who are effected.

As for the crack of version 8, some of the messages said that it also 
effected non-cracked versions.

With the repair, formatting didn't always work as it seems to put some code 
in the boot sector, so it's either a ghost or a new hard drive,

FS are supposed to be looking into it, so wait for that.

ONCE, the big association for the blind in Spain, have cancelled their 
contract with FS, even though the problem also effects other screen readers. 
I'm not sure that one is true.

Finally, it has been strenuously denied that it was this Spiro guy.
