Well I have talks software on my nokia n70 and it's good. ----- Original Message ----- From: Steve Dryden To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, April 28, 2009 8:32 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: oasys 22c Ayesha, The best solution really to go for a talks phone. This will give you all the functionality you want including, being able to fully edit text messages. You also have the advantage of being able to sinc to a PC and of course, all the additional programs which are on a simbian phone and, the ones which you can add to it. You are also able to email and use the internet on them. This is of course dependant on your tarriff etc. Talks in general is very stable and I think your friend might have had some compatibility issues or was using an old phone and version. Talks will work on a wide range of nokia mobile phones but of course, they must be simbian based. You know, on the RNIB's website under the phones description, it clearly states that you can edit text messages. Does anyone know if there is a better phone out there? My oasys 22C is kind of broken and I desperately need a new talking phone of some kind. I did think of getting talks software but I had a friend who had it and it kept crashing on his phone every 2 days. My family are scattered all over the world and I need to be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week just in case there is a problem, three of my four grandparents died suddenly and without my oasys 22C I wouldn't have been able to be contacted or to contact anyone else so I need the phone which is the most reliable regardless of expense. Can anyone help?
