In terms of Talks, the software has been drastically improved both in
responsiveness and reliability. My guess is that your friend's using a very
old Talks on a very old phone, which, in that case, is understandable. But
nowadays Talks is well superior over MobileSpeak, which no doubt does crash
phones every two days <smiles>. So with me I would go with a phone with
Talks on it. I have both an N70 and N73 with latest Talks for both phones
and they very rarely crash, if at all. Good luck in your research.

Cheers for that clive. You know, on the RNIB's website under the phones
description, it clearly states that you can edit text messages.
Does anyone know if there is a better phone out there?
My oasys 22C is kind of broken and I desperately need a new talking phone of
some kind.
I did think of getting talks software but I had a friend who had it and it
kept crashing on his phone every 2 days. My family are scattered all over
the world and I need to be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week just in
case there is a problem, three of my four grandparents died suddenly and
without my oasys 22C I wouldn't have been able to be contacted or to contact
anyone else so I need the phone which is the most reliable regardless of
expense.
Can anyone help?

Hello Ayesha,
I used to have one of these phones, and this was something I found most
annoying. Unfortunately, the only way you can edit a text message is to
erase
up to the point of your mistake, then retype it. There is no way of
cursoring
through the text. This is one of the phone's drawbacks.
Best wishes,
Clive Pallett
