I didn't realise thatt was the case, but here is my 2 penny worth on this subject. There is absolutely no reason why speech software could not be installed on all s60 phones as standard. You do have to buy a licence per handset unless you are using a Windows phone. My understanding is that they have just changed the licencing for this product, but they are not looking at changing the situation for s60 phones.

Hi I have not used Talks, but I have had to do quite a lot of research recently, changing handsets etc, so I can't offer a comparison. I orignially went for mobile speak because I was buying just before talks was released. I now stick with it because I am too mean to pay for a different software package, when I can buy the upgrade fir less. As far as the Internet access is concerned I will have a go and get back to you. I tried it when I first got an accessible phone nad it was a disaster, so I haven't looked at it since.
