The alternative is of course to buy an extension cable rather than a box that needs to be wired up and fixed to the wall. Such simply have a plug on one end and a socket on the other. Not quite as neat but much easier. I used one for a temporary location recently which was an ultra flat cable, the wire part being of a lower profile than standard telephone type. About 2 mil thing and 4 or 5 wide. And still cost less than a tener. Billy ** Hi Billy, Probably, but you need to know the colours of the 2, 3 or 4 tiny wires in the cable and the numbers of the push-down sockets in the box. You will also need a push-down tool, but they are only a few pence. Given that you might not be able to do the job without sighted help, you might as well get a vision to do it for you!
