[access-uk] Victor Reader Stream down the toilet

Hi all
I've just dropped my Stream down the toilet while it was playing (Stop
laughing). If you must know, I had the stream in a top pocket and was
adjusting the fittings on the seat so, thankfully, it was a clean toilet.
I took the back off the Stream and the battery out then laid all on a towel
in the airing cupboard to dry. Has anyone else successfully dried out their
Stream and got it working properly again after a dunking?
As a boy-scout precaution, if it is defunct, I'd like suggestions for a
replacement. Isn't there a player that's smaller and has an FM radio built
in? Wonder what my insurance is like.
