[access-uk] Re: Using N95 8GB as a modem

can we have 3-G provided then by our service provider, e.g. vodafone and if so how? I have GPRS at present but it certainly does not feel like dial-up. It feels like Broadband.

No it doesn't mean that; GPRS (general packet radio service) is considered slightly faster than dial-up, but for most people it will still feel like dial-up. 3G, on the other hand, is supposed to feel like broadband, or at least 128KBPS broadband anyway. Not tried it though.

Hi. When I use my phone as a modem I get poor speeds and download times. This happens even when there are 7 bars showing on the phone. I'm on Three so does this mean that the signal quality is not the main factor in getting a decent internet coverage? I Does this happen with T-Mobile or any other network? I assumed that a good signal quality meant that I could get good internet coverage.
