Hi Sharon,

Can I suggest you go back to the company you bought the
braille display from, and who gave you the advice in the
first place, and read the riot act with them?

George.

Subject: [access-uk] USB to Serial Cable

Hi,
I have just purchased a new PC which does not have any
serial ports on it. I am running a powerbraille and have
just purchased a USB to serial lead, which I was advised to
do from the company I bought the braille display from.
However, I cannot get it to work.

I have installed the software as directed, e.g. plugging in
the USB and letting the PC find the drivers, which it did.
I was informed installation was complete and pressed finish.

I am still unable to get any Braille on the display. I have
restarted the PC, plus Jaws several times, but still no
Braille.

Do I need some drivers for Jaws or something like that.

Any help much appreciated, as I am now stuck!

Sharon
