Well, I have an email from RNIB to that effect. also, when I tried to
purchase the PTX1 from the RNIB Online shop, there was no mention about the
free one year membership to the Streaming service, so I joined the
Bookstream club and have not as yet purchased a PTX1.

I have just emailed RNIB asking them to confirm that the information I was
given two weeks ago is correct, and pointing out that their advertisement in
the May new product guide is therefore incorrect.

Watch this space.

David
I quote from The May New Product Guide.

This new player replaces the popular Plextalk PTN1 and heralds a new phase
in the development of Daisy. It is similar in size and shape to its
predecessor but the button size and layout has been changed, making them
easier to distinguish and more intuitive to use. A USB port and SD memory
card slot provide users with access to a wider range of reading material.
The built-in memory provides an electronic bookshelf where users can store
their favourite content, and it comes with a 12 month subscription to RNIB's
BookStream book club. It also has a text-to-speech programme which further
expands the range of content that can be accessed.

I cannot see how it can be claimed that the offer is closed.
