Hi David Many thanks for the below instructions. I've now set up a short cut on the desk top to the folder containing the converted audible files and all is working. Very best wishes Henry -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Russelll Sent: 02 September 2014 09:06 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Sound Taxi? Henry, I think this is correct. Go to your converted folder as before, then find the downloads folder. Use your application key and arrow down till you find shortcut. Press enter. Now go into the downloads folder and you should find the shortcut there. Copy it to your clipboard, and then come out and go to your desktop. Now control v and the shortcut should be on the desktop. You might like to change the name to read mp3 books or something memorable for you. Hope this works. Hi David and Adrien Many thanks for all your help on this subject. Pleased to say that all appears to be well I've now downloaded my first audible file via sound Taxi. David I take your point about setting up a short cut on my desk top-how do I achieve this please? I'm using windows 7 home premium. Kind regrds Henry -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Russelll Sent: 01 September 2014 21:08 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Sound Taxi? Henry, If you have not designated a particular folder, Sound Taxi should put the book on your c drive in a folder called "converted". If you open that folder, and then down arrow to downloads, you should find your book there as an mp3 file. It is probably a good idea to create a short cut on your desktop so that you can find the downloads folder more easily. Hope this makes sense. Hi David Many thanks for your reply and confirmation. That is good news that it may be working-thank goodness , I have not designated an output file within settings; for I cannot locate settings. Do you know where the default file will be located on completion of conversion? Many thanks for all your help Kind regards Henry -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Russelll Sent: 01 September 2014 20:35 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Sound Taxi? Henry Sounds as though it is working. Just read the line which says 0 percent with your jaws cursor and it should increase the percentage. Depending on how long the book is, it will take quite a while to convert the whole book. Could be working into the night. You can convert two books at once though which speeds things up. Hi David I have now downloaded the plug-in and encountered the following page: " SoundTaxi Professional 4.5.4 t Select Remove Play Convert Play Copy to Burn Settings Help Files Original Converted iPod TheWickedGirlsUnabridgedPart1_mp332_A1CFHIDJS... Converting (0 %)" Jaws just remains silence despite tabbing around and trying to use the applications key, not sure how to select convert-please could you advise? Using windows 7 home premium 64 bit and jaws V11. Henry, If you don't download the plug in, you will not be able to convert your Audible files. Do that first and we can then look at any other questions you have. I had problems at first, but once these are overcome it is very straightforward to use. Hi Everyone I'm still trying to convert an audible (.aa) format file to an mp3. When I fill in the file details on the front page of sound taxi and press enter on "open" I am presented with the following screen: "SoundTaxi Professional 4.5.4 Media content is protected! You must install Free Media Processing plug-in to unprotect the content and start conversion. http://Protectedmus.com Later Plug-in website file(s) will not be converted" Do I download this plug-in bearing in mind I have not been able to amend the default values within settings. Any help will be greatly appreciated-thank you.
