Do you know which of these is more accessible Steve? I've found the
facility to mix in the edit special menu, but as you say it won't let you
record and listen at the same time.

Hi Donna,
You can't mix tracks with Sound Forge, it is a single track program. For
doing that, you would need something like Sonar or Video Vegas, or whatever
Sony call it nowadays, this is Sound Forge's more upmarket brother.

Do any of you guys out there use Sound Forge? If so, could you help me with
a problem I'm having? I've recorded a guitar backing track which I want to
put some vocals on to. However, I can't get Sound Forge to let me hear the
guitar track to sing along to. I know that you can mix tracks together, so
I am assuming it does have this facility somewhere. Can anyone tell me how
they get around this problem? Feel free to email me privately if you prefer
