Hi,

cool edit is worth a look, it has a wealth of keyboard
shortcuts.

Soundforge doesn't multi-track unfortunately so it's not really the right
tool for that sort of thing, it can mix two pre-recorded sound files which
allows you to make simple radio packages at a push. Cakewalk Sonar is the
most obvious choice but has a degree of cost associated with it. I don't
know if any speech users have successfully tried Multiquence which is
produced by the same people as Goldwave. Another cheap one to look at would
be "n-track", the PC-Audio list may prove fruitful in this regard.

Subject: [access-uk] Sound Forge

Do any of you guys out there use Sound Forge? If so, could you help me with a problem I'm having? I've recorded a guitar backing track which I want to put some vocals on to. However, I can't get Sound Forge to let me hear the guitar track to sing along to. I know that you can mix tracks together, so I am assuming it does have this facility somewhere. Can anyone tell me how they get around this problem? Feel free to email me privately if you prefer regarding this as I know it's not a general computer issue.
