talking about QVC - the shopping channel on freeview and sky - they have a
box which the turntable will plug into and which itself plugs into a PC via
a USB cable. It comes with all leads and software for about £39 plus
postage.
The software converts the output of the record deck into wav and possibly
mp3 files. It also has a de-scratch facility and de-hiss for cassette
recordings.
I thought it looked very good value and you can try it and if it doesn't
suit your needs then you can return it within 30 days and get your money
back.

Thanks for this George. Ibby Carbhari has given me another sorce to research
in the way of a Turntable amp and software or a CD Recorder. I've also heard
on QVC software that will do the same, so some research needed.
