I've done my vinyl and tape collection onto CD's using Magix Audible Lab and
found it did a wonderful job of cleaning the back ground noise. Not
particularly VI friendly but I don't think any of those software packages
are. I understand QVC sell it for about £10 or so.

in the way of a Turntable amp and software or a CD Recorder. I've also
heard
on QVC software that will do the same, so some research needed.
