Hi Jo. I'm having the same problem and have reported it to Sight and Sound. 
Apparently it's a JAWS problem which hopefuly will be resolved in the next 
update. Valerie Pickles.

On my windows 10 laptop using jaws 18 I can’t now read the emails.  When I move 
the curser up and down jaws doesn’t say anything at all but apparently the 
email is on the screen.  Just wondering whether anyone else is having the same 
problem
