Hi Steve. Sorry, but I'd have to vote no on this one. For one thing, it
relies on people remembering to do it, and I'd be as bad as the next person
at doing that, particularly as I'm on a whole bunch of lists and would more
than likely forget that I had to include my name in the subject line for
this one. Also, subject lines aren't actually that long, so by the time
you've put your name in there, and then tried to add something concise to
let other list members know what your query relates to, it's likely you're
going to run out of room, or not going to be able to give a good enough idea
of your query to get constructive help from the list. Personally, I'd rather
run the risk of having my e-mail address spammed than have to remember to
put my name in every subject line. Not to mention how complicated it's going
to get if you're replying to someone's message, either having to take their
name out and pput yours in, or ending up leaving out the part of the subject
line that relates to the query. Just my two cents, and obviously I'll go
along with the majority view. Tracey.
