sorry, Eleanor, I don't have a clue about Nokia phones.

I'm sure there are others here who'd know this.

Vince.

Hi Vince, thanks for all that. How do I set up an RSS feed on my phone? I have a Nokia E5 phone and do not know how to set it up on it. I also have a Nokia E6 phone and as this is a more up-to-date phone it has the RSS feed facility already set up there.

Eleanor,

The hash tag is a keyword that can be used for searches on Twitter. For
example, the radio programme Any Questions asks listeners to use the hash
tag #bbcaq, which will let them see any tweets with that tag in them, while a straight search for 'Any questions' might bring in all sorts of irrelevant
stuff.
.
But there can be problems. If you search for the hash tag #mazi, you'll find
that more than one person is using it, so it unearths an unhelpful mixture
of all sorts.

You might find this guide useful.

How to use Twitter - How stuff works
http://computer.howstuffworks.com/internet/social-networking/networks/internet/tips/how-to-use-twitter.htm

If that link doesn't work, try this tiny version.

http://tinyurl.com/d45nnt4

There's a video on that page which is worth running as it's actually full of
speech.

As far as I can tell, there's no reference to Twitter on the restaurant's
web site, and a search for it on Twitter hasn't revealed anything, as far as
I can tell. If the restaurant does a search for references to itself, it
should be able to find your tweet and Mark's. I've found them, so they are
visible to the world. But they don't seem to have a Twitter account
themselves.

I have a Twitter feed for guide dog, so anything with guide dog in it should
come through that. A feed gives you an automatic search, updated every so
often.

My feed looks like this:-

http://search.twitter.com/search.atom?q=guide+dog

For some reason, Mark's tweet came through on this, but yours didn't.
Strange. As far as I can see, you didn't do anything wrong, You can always
tweet something more than once if you like.

I'm sure Guide Dogs will support you over this.

Vince.

Thanks Vince, I will build on it. Ian says if I have given the name of the
restaurant they will see the Tweet. Do not understand that. Maybe I would
have had to use the hash tag. Do not know what the hash tag does actually!

Eleanor, no, any words you use in a tweet could be picked up in a search,
so
make sure there are some good key words in there that will attract an
audience. You may even get more followers if you take this approach, but
it
does take time.

Vince.

But won't I be only tweeting to my followers? I have not built up many!
Smile. Just I was infuriated when the person said she wanted me to tie my
dog up in the garden while I had the meal.

You just post a general tweet and include the Twitter name of the
restaurant.

Hi All
I went out for a meal tonight. New resteraunt. Had table booked but
when
I got to the resteraunt with my friend, the propritor came to
confidentally say that 'no dogs are allowed'! I explained that it as a
'guide dog'! Still, no dogs allowed! I explained that it would be against the law to turn me away! Sorry, no dogs! I love dogs, I have them myself
etc, she said but no dogs here!

I have the name of the resteraunt and looked it up on-line. See it is on Twitter. Is there any way I can put on Twitter about this? or can I only
Tweet to my own group of friends/followers?

Unbelievable, this is London 2012! Interesting to read on their Twitter
that they congratulate the Greek Paralympic team but still do not likie a
guide dog in their resteraunt.

Now, I do not wish to start a dialogue about guide dog accessability,
this
is more to explain and ask about Twitter and if I can give the resteraunt poor press for the attitude to my guide dog. Maybe not to clutter up the
list people can respond off list to me at eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
