I installed all of Office 2003 and then I raised the question on this list as I'd been told I could not have 2003 and 2007 on the one machine. As I recall you kindly sent mea link yourself George where it said it can be done but not recommended. I am not experienced enough with IT to take the risk.

What's the problem? Outlook 2003 will run alongside Office 2007 -
even on Windows 7 if you wish!

George.

Hi Eleanor.

Now that is a pitty, I can imagine your pritty livid about it.
Unfortunately although you can upgrade to Office 2010 providing you
meet the
criteria, you wont get outlook at home and student 2010 doesn't
include it.
Your best bet would be to wait a couple of months and then buy office
2010
when it hits retail shelves which I think will happen in September or
October.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Unfortunately yes Ibrahim and I am absolutely furious about it and
would
never have purchased if I had been aware of that at the time. In
fact I
am livid with myself for letting the sallesman at Curry's talk me in
to
it.

Hi Eleanor.

You say that Outlook isn't available in your office 2007 edition?
Are
you using home and student edition then?

All the best, Ibrahim.

Oh that is interesting Ibrahim. I would like to avail of this but
I
have Office 2003 on my PC as I want the Outlook and it is not
available
on the Office 2007 which I purchased at the time I bought the
laptop
with Windows 7. I am suing Supernova so understand that you
cannot
advise on other e-mail clients . Thing is I know Thunderbird and
others
are accessable with Jaws but not with Supernova and then I'm back
to
that old chestnut of not being able to run Supernova and Jaws on
the
same computer. In any case, thanks for the very valuable
information
which I must pass on to my niece for whom I also purchased Office
2007
at that time.

Hi Eleanor.

Your nearly there *smile*, the qualifying Microsoft Office
product has
to be purchased and activated between the 5th of March and 30th
of
#September, with the upgrade download being downloaded no later
than
the 31st of October. I've already downloaded my upgrade and the
process is very streight forward excepting the flaming capcha.

All the best, Ibrahim.

I think it is dependent on when you first purchased office 2007
and
that the upgrade applies from a date from 7 march however someone
will
put me right if this statement is incorrect. i recall Ibrahim
having
the words of wisdom.
