Thanks for the suggestion Bob. I tried there and then Office, but saw no
reference to Office 2000.

The option will appear on the windows update program to enable "Microsoft
Update" rather than windows update.

Using XP Home and Office 2000
There used to be a facility on the MS web site for automatically checking
your computer for any updates for the above software. Obviously I have run the
general Windows update program and this has not highlighted any available
Office 2000 updates.
I realise that the software is 10 years old and that the facility may have
been removed but if anybody has a link please let me know.
