Hi Andrew,
Its probably because of your firewall. When you run WinMX for the first
time, WinMX will test your connection, Doing this will launch sygate, which
will pop up behind the scenes, asking you to permit WinMX to access the
internet. You have to alt tab around your programs to locate this Sygate
alert and say yes to the permission. Then ask WinMX to try the connection
again. Moments later , during the install, I got a second alert from WinMX,
telling me to accept the fact that I was behind a firewall and can't do
anything about it. This was a radio button that was checked. I assumed this,
though maybe not the best way to go, was acceptable to WinMX, so I moved to
the next button and hit enter to continue the install.
