Hi Theresa,

I can tell you what needs to happen, but as yet, not how to
do it.

Essentially the e-mail address needs to have the prefix
"mailto:"; added to it somehow.

If you actually type the prefix in yourself, for example,
mailto:george@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx you will find that when
you click on the field, it will open a mail message
addressed to me.

However, what is defeating me at the moment is how to do
that via the normal table design.

(And as it happens, I ALSO want to do this in a database)

George.

Hi All

I'm using Microsoft Access 2003 with Jaws 5.0.

In an Access database that I'm designing, I have a field
containing an e-mail address. I've set the data type to
hyperlink.

Once in that field, I would like to be able to press Enter
and go straight into an e-mail message to that person.
I've got as far as getting it to open Outlook when I click
on the address, but am not sure how to get it to open a new
message with that person's address in the "To" field.

Can anyone help with this?
