Hi George, Yes the software will needs to be accessible, secondly he would like
to make the recordings of a good quality in order to share with friends etc.
and the third point as usual, he does not wish to spend too much on this
project.

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards, Saeed

  Hi Saeed,

I guess the first question to ask is, "Does your friend need accessible
software, and to what degree of accessibility?".

Next would be to ask if it is for pure fun, or does he want to pass on his
recordings to the likes of a recording studio?

And finally, what sort of budget can he afford?

  George.

Subject: [access-uk] RECORDING MUSIC ONTO THE PC

Hi Everyone, forgive me if this subject is off topic.

I have a friend who plays the guitar and wants me to help him to record some
music onto the computer.

I would be grateful for any tips in terms of which software to use and also
what type of microphone is best suited for recording music onto the PC.

I use a laptop with an external Creative Soundblaster live Soundcard.

I would be grateful if anyone has used the PC for this purpose and can
benefit me from their experience.

  Best regards, Saeed
