I might add to this Theresa, that I have A sony USB floppy drive which also has an in-built Sony card reader. Bought it from PC World/Dixons about a year ago. Works fine on the rare ocassions I need it - I too have a floppyless PC.

Hi Theresa,
These are few and far between these days. The floppy drive is all but dead.
A 128 MD USB memory key is about the price opf an external floppy (£20) and holds the equivalent of over 80 floppy disks. George.

Hi All
I'm looking at buying a new laptop and from my brief searching around the internet this evening, realise that a lot of them no longer have the option of an internal floppy disk drive. I know I can buy a portable USB floppy disk drive, but want to avoid that if at all possible.
Can anyone recommend any particular laptops that still have an internal floppy disk drive?
Thanks.
