Hi, you should only delete your temporary internet files etc if you plan to, for example, not use the site regularly. You see, temporary internet files include cookies, small text files that holds information to the site hosting the cookie(s). The information can include log in and password, for example. Hope this helps.

Subject: [access-uk] Internet cookies and files

Hi there,

This is a strange one. I phoned Tesco this morning as I have had a problem
deleting out of my favourites. The girl on the other end of the phone had
me amazed. She said it wasn't their problem and I must go to my internet
options and delete all my cookies and temporary files. I said to her I'm
not doing that and anyway I thought it was their problem, she said not, my
computer was full of rubbish. I must say I was completely surprised at her
attitude but maybe she's right and I'm wrong, I just didn't expect someone
on the end of the phone at Tesco would be reliable on computers......Now is
she right, should I delete these, I haven't done before and if so how do I
do it, using Vista and IE7.....Thanks

Mandy
