Hi George.

I rolled it back myself there. For me there's nothing really compelling to use the thing other than they might be using it in work. In which case I can use Win Eyes and I'll be grand.

At home though I'll stick with 6 as long as the security patches are still being released for it. The fishing filter in IE7 I personally wouldnt' have on because it does slow pages loading for obvious reasons, but it's probably a nice feature for general computer users.

Hi Barry,

Personally I wouldn't entirely blame JAWS. IE7 incorporates
many changes, and not all are for the better. Many fully
sighted people have removed it, including myself.

For example, I'm not alone in coming to blows with it over
the issue of 3rd party Help files. You may be aware that in
IE6, Ctrl + Mouse Wheel, would increase or decrease the size
of font when viewing an HTML Help file Topic.

In IE7 when viewing web pages, this feature has been
enhanced to enlarge or reduce graphics - as well as text.
But it no longer works with anybody's Help files. In short,
Microsoft have broken it somehow - or perhaps are just
being..... I'd better not say!

George.

Hi all,

I'm seriously not having a pop at JFW 8 here for the sake of
it.

If there's a patch or workaround for this it would be nice
to know.

Basically, try tabbing in IE7 with v8. Just tabbing through
links. Hit the
tab key quite quickly.

Here nothing's spoken if I tab through at my quickest speed
but with v6 of
JFW it flys through the links. Even in IE7 which JFW6
doesn't fully
support.

I genuinly find this version quite sluggish in comparison.

Anyone else who's not a Jaws zealot fancy testing this out?

I'd like it either confirmed or denied as I find myself in
situations were I
need to use Jaws and it bugs me that the latest version is
more sluggish
than previous versions.
