Hi Ron.

Bang on Mate" That's exactly what has happened. However, Tristram from Sight and Sound picked this up immediately and put me right. Thank goodness,I really needed my scanner this afternoon. I'm so grateful that we had access direct to the suppliers in this way. It saved a lot of heartache.

Thanks for responding mate. Best wishes. Andy

Hi Andy
Have you moved your scanner about recently without locking it, this is done by moving a slider at the back on some models. Have a look round the back to see if anything has been moved or perhaps you haven't fully opened the entry point for the cable.
Sorry can't be more helpful.
Ron

Subject: [access-uk] Epsom Scanner knocking

Hi all.

My Epsom Scanner has been disconnected from my computer since Christmas. I attached the cables this afternoon and a loud knocking sound came from the device. The sound is coming from about three inches in from the right side bottom.. Can anyone tell me what is happening please, I need to photocopy some stuff for this afternoon's post. Best wishes. Andy
