Sounds like the scanner transport lock is in place, on some Epson models it
near the front on the right hand side, on the bottom of the unit. Other older
Epsons have it more conventionally at the back.

Regards.

  Subject: [access-uk] Epsom Scanner knocking

  Hi all.

My Epsom Scanner has been disconnected from my computer since Christmas. I
attached the cables this afternoon and a loud knocking sound came from the
device. The sound is coming from about three inches in from the right side
bottom.. Can anyone tell me what is happening please, I need to photocopy
some stuff for this afternoon's post. Best wishes. Andy
