HI BRIAN, I USE HAL AND POWER DVD. AND THEY ARE QUITE IN LOVE WITH ONE ANOTHER! SURPRISED? ----- Original Message ----- From: Brian Hartgen To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, August 23, 2004 6:50 PM Subject: [access-uk] DVD access Hi Over the past few days, I have been working with DVD software called Win DVD, which I have to say is extremely accessible. In fact, I have been surprised at how accessible it is. I can certainly play any one of our DVD's, move around the DVD chapter by chapter, and access all of the other controls without difficulty. I can even set bookmarks to get back to specific parts. My reason for writing is to ask whether people have had success in accessing the other special features of DVD's apart from the main movie, for example, audio described editions of a film if one is present, background information such as all the stuff which we did not see in the original film which got left on the cutting room floor, etc. I have noticed that, with some dvd's, you can install additional software which may give access to the special features. But I want to use my conventional software-based DVD player so as to lend some consistency to the whole thing. Any comments from anyone who uses DVD's on a computer would be very good to read.
