Hi

Well, although I am using Win DVD for the moment, it sounds like Power DVD
is worth a go. I'll look into getting it to try. Thanks.

Hi, I have some good experience with playing DVD's on a PC. I used to use
WinDVD under win98 and found that to be a very good software player as,
PowerDVD (I use under WinXP) is brilliant indeed.

I can't comment on accessibility as, I can't use zoomtext with any dvd
software, because, of the video overlay. so, I have to put my magnifying
glass on screen to trawl through the menus to get to what I want. Not very
pleasant but, it does the job all the same.

anyway, I have one audio described DVD (Bjork's Dancer in the dark film).
the audio discription selection was as easy to get to as any of extra
features really. To me, which is not done without some fiddling with
magnifying glass on screen.
As for the A.D. itself, it is amazing. it really does describe everything!
i really knew exactly what was on screen during the film. Even in one scene
where there was a piece of paper opened and the contents described.
Usually, I'm sitting there, looking at such scenes wondering what on earth
was written on the paper, computer screen, screen shot of a written article
etc. so, if you can get audio description on DVD , they are well worht it!

I generally cope and find my way around the DVD software and tend to rely on
the icons for play, stop, pause, fast forward and rewind as, I can make them
out better than text, however, I'll use the portable magnifier for menu
usage.

Justin .
