Hi guys I'm becoming unglued, hopefully somebody can come up with new
suggestions.
Backround:
I came back from being out of town for a few days. Only to find my computer
switched off.
Having checked with the other residents that no electrical faults had
occured in the house as a whole I turned it on and got on my merry way.
It's done it several times now and I can't see a pattern to it.
Of course it's warmer outside than we're used to, but it does it in the day
and at night. When it's colder at night as I've been monitoring external
temperatures.
I've held off from psu and cpu intensive tasks, bit of browsing, ftp client
running, email, messenger the odd winamp window.
PC spec on request grins.
I've tryed leaving the side panel off, the side panel has a mounted fan in
it, I've a 650wt psu in the thing with very large fans.
My dad's coming round tomorrow, I'd like him to check my sockets and outlets
in my bedroom. To make sure there's not a power spike going up and down on
there event logs have nothing to indicate an error accorded before shutdown,
even bought Sandra v7 pro to test my machine and it says I'm ok...
Can anyone suggest things, before I go into the world of, I havent' got a
clue why my pc's switching off, so lets go insane at the thought of buying
parts to replace and see if it's the cause and throw money down the
toilit...
