I also noticed your council does a home security grant. I used one to buy a GE smart security alarm which is fully speaking and can even turn your lights on and off, close curtains etc. Peter From: ELEANOR BURKE Sent: Wednesday, June 17, 2009 4:30 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Cobolt Product advice Peter perhaps you would be kind enough to look for me too. Mine is Camden London borough of Camden. Perhaps you would e-mail me off list if you find they do but I'd be faily sure they won't. Not to mention how keen they were for me to include other items as well. Which is your council and I'll have a look on the net to see if they have one if you like Peter From: ELEANOR BURKE Sent: Tuesday, June 16, 2009 11:01 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Cobolt Product advice How on earth did you manage to get yuour Council to pay for it! The rehab worker at my Council culd not even talk to me on the phone. Said he was too busy and on his wait to see a client. Not sure if he viewed me as someone from utter space and not a client. I find it's very good and safer to use than a big oven. The only thing I don't really like about it is that the voice is a bit loud, even when turned down to it's lowest. Also being told when you open or close the door is a bit annoying and embaressing as most people are going to know when it's open or closed. It might have been nice to be reminded if you left the door open every few minutes so that the light isn't on wasting energy. If you cook a pizza that would take 18 minutes on the instructions, then use the cook pizza setting using the weight, I've had pizzas cooked perfectly in about 11 minutes. Same with jacket potatos. Much quicker! Peter From: David Russell Sent: Monday, June 15, 2009 7:02 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Cobolt Product advice Barbara, It generally works well. You can cook in any combination of microwave, grill and convection. If you mix the cooking methods you have to take care though. For example, if you microwave a pizza and finish it off under the grill, then you can't cover the pizza otherwise the film will melt when you grill. Also you cannot use plastic dishes with convection, but you can with the microwave. Generally though it works very well. Not cheap, but it does the job. You can download the instruction manual from the Cobolt site. This is a microwave, convection oven and grill all in one. If there are any users, how do they find it? I'd like to have some user feedback before forking out £269.00.
