Hi, Sorry to ask the obvious, but have you checked this with Nokia directly? If the phone is under warranty, they may be able to replace the screen for you at either no cost, or only the cost of shipping. It would depend on their classification of whether the damage was deliberate or accidental. Also, do check the warranty carefully. Sometimes the screen isn't covered, sometimes it is. I've always found the folks at Nokia very helpful, although I always use the phone service and have never been into a Nokia shop. It's up to you whether or not you mention that you're partially sighted. It may or may not help matters along slightly. The few screens I've seen on eBay just checking as I wrote this seem genuine enough and all come with fitting instructions. Usually it's a fairly simple job. The hardest part, I've found, is getting over the initial fear of applying too much pressure when inserting the screen back in. As long as you don't overly apply lateral pressure to the thing, it'll be fine. Oh, and I don't work for Nokia, even though I wouldn't mind if I did 'smile'. _______________________________________ Have a pleasant day, Kind Regards and Best Wishes, Hussein. Hi! Been having problems with my N82 and it seems the problems lye in the screen, so trying to find somewhere reasonable to purchase a lcd screen, I am guessing if I do not buy Nokia it might invalidate the remainder of the warranty but needs must! Did google it and did see a couple on E bay but would prefer a reliable source if anyone could recommend one.
