Some of these patches make me a bit nervous, as I've
had major trouble after one of them as well. I
absolutely cringe whenever MS comes out with a new
one. I think one is supposed to shut down AV software
and other unnecessary background programs before doing
the download/install. Also, I would advise doing some
kind of backup of your settings and data beforehand,
just in case.
