From nano to micro - grainscale Grainscale is intended to be a platform where scientists can easily open and contribute to discussions on problems related to nano- to microscale processes in rocks and synthetic materials. Despite numerous scientists from several disciplines all over the world investigate these processes, an interdisciplinary platform where ideas and results can be discussed in an informal, quick and uncomplicated way is still missing. Currently, no scientific media exists that provides space for such discussions among petrologists, structural geologists, sedimentologists, mineralogists, material scientists and geochemists that work on nano- to microscale problems. "Grainscale" will combine a website (grainscale.org) where scientific data are presented in a short form with a mailing list, where these data are discussed. |
