Saw the beta announcement, installed it over my existing 1.80 official 
release...
...working fine!
Not sure how many Catalina users there are on the list so I figured I might 
as well report success and say thanks.

Thank you for the feedback! For the official release I'll also be
using signed and notarized binaries, so this should minimize the
number of security warnings from the OS.

I am using Lua 5.4 (a build of my own with all my favourite libraries, C and 
Lua-based, compiled in statically, including LuaSocket, OpenSSL, LuaOSSL and 
LuaSec), no problems so far.
