This message is from Denise Runyon who is involved with Universal Dances for Peace. She is encouraging the Havurah folks to come to this event. Sufism is the Muslim mystical movement and, with a strong connection between all the streams of mysticism, there has been a lot of interest in Sufism among the Jewish Renewal movement. And "awakening the heart" is what we do anytime this time of year in preparation for the High Holidays. Could be interesting! Shabbat Shalom! Randi Hello and Peace be with you, Just a reminder about our Sufi Zikr this Saturday, Sept. 24th 7-10 p.m. at Rockford Chapel in Yellow Springs. We're requesting a $10 donationif you can to cover the expenses of the Khalif. It will be led by Matin Mize, a Khalif in the Sufi Ruhaniat International from San Francisco who is presently staying in Cincinnati. We hope to get a good turn out to makethis a worthwhile and wonderful experience. Personally I am particularly attentive to the needs of so many at this time and that the autum equinox has just occured. It seems like an especially good time to "awaken the heart", within and around us. I hope you can come. We will have some refreshments to share. If you would like to bring some please feel free. Love, Denise ------- End of forwarded message -------
