If you have been following the WATERSHED Victoria's participation in the EES
Inquiry Hearings for the desalination plant you have an opportunity to have
your suggestions and/or recommendations included in their written submission
which is due to be presented next Wednesday 29th October. This is one of , if
not THE most important aspect of the Watershed input into the EES process.
The catch is that your recommendations or suggestions need to be provided to
the following email address preferably by close of business tomorrow, Thursday
23rd October to ensure the report can be comprehensively prepared and proofed
etc. As you will know Watershed Vic as a community group is also stretched for
resources and hence the time frame.
For clarification, recommendations are what we (as Watershed) would recommend
the Inquiry include in their report at the end of the process, and are thus
vital to exert pressure on Government. So please send in any recommendations on
any topic related to the project no matter how insignificant they may be.
In addtion and seperate to the recommendations Watershed are also requesting
that if anyone who might be going to prepare a report additional to what they
have already submitted to the Inquiry it would be helpful if they could also be
forwarded to email below by end of week if possible.
