As a matter of interest what priorities are people seeing?

Using ALSA MIDI and Jack Audio I get the following with htop (sorted by
priority).

-11 jackd
-9 yoshimi (ALSA MIDI thread)
-6 yoshimi (Jack audio thread)
-3 yoshimi (Roots, banks, Program Change)
20 root
followed by a lot of 20s, then near the bottom, 5 user ones directed to
yoshimi. These would be GUI CLI etc.

I was a bit surprised that ALSA came above Audio, but confirmed that when I
selected jack MIDI I ended up with two threads at -6

This is still very strange. Trying the same command I get dramatically different
figures (although I find htop much easier to use). Also you seem to be using a
very large jack buffer size. If you need this on a reasonably modern 64 bit
machine it suggests your overall setup has problems.

Buffer size 1024 is for desktop use.
But I think possibly there is something wrong with my system. I've already done 
a new installation on a separate disk just adding kxstudio packages. It has the 
same issue which seemed to suggest, wrongly as it turns out, that there was 
something amiss with my yoshimi build.
